There are no hassles with changing the water bucket either. It is 17 pints in capacity with a level indicator and is located towards the front of the unit and extremely easy to remove. It comes with a splash guard to prevent annoying spillages whilst emptying and the carry handle is very sturdy.
If the Frigidaire dehumidifier 50-pint is left running until the bucket is at its capacity it automatically turns it-self off preventing leakages. A nice touch is the auto-restart feature which means should there be a power cut or any other type of disturbance to the power supply then the machine will get itself up and running again.
Moving the dehumidifier around the house couldn’t be easier either as it is mounted on surprisingly sturdy caster wheels and there are top and side handles to ensure ease of manoeuvrability.
The only real down side we have found with this machine is that a minority of people have complained that the bucket fits in too tightly. However this is not the really case it is just that the instructions have evidently not been read! All you need to do is squeeze the bucket from the sides gently to avoid any problems.
The only other negative as with other dehumidifiers is that it does push out air quite strongly. Just take this into consideration when positioning the unit.
Other than that it’s a solid high performance unit that you can set to come on and off with timers, have running continuously with timers or turn on and off manually.
